Out like a lamb

I can hardly believe that we have had another month in lock down and we are heading in Canada at least for more uncertain on when we open up. Our premier said the other day that Ontario's plans were not a timetable...so we have no dates to work to and so we continue to have this microscopic life with added umph of massive emotional upheaval. Super awesome!

That said you will be amazed that the last two weeks (and that is all that it has been since my last blog) we have had these kinds of images. Of course as always this is just me and trusty phone camera and little bits of outside and my daily walks. Thank goodness we haven't been limited and me and boys continue on our 10,000 steps and I have added on some days static rowing. In addition to which in the last few days making biscuits...today's project is ginger thins. I would add that this humble bragging that I have managed to avoid is funny. I have found that making something for the first time is truly experimental and as such the results have been binned! But as the saying goes, she persisted and so I am! So third experiment will take place later today.... To give you an idea of the experiments so far, who knew that shortbread could be so hard that I have to suggest biting it with back teeth only!!!!!
Now on the surface this looks like a plain old bad photo but what it is, is snow! That was mid month

We have of course had days like this too. (So many empty streets...weird)

But the flowers are finally coming

Buds are appearing on Maples

But early mornings are heavy frost and snow maybe, something icy

Cats have the right idea

We search for the blue skies and this day we were lucky

I also realized that this bridge has a date on it and it older than me! It's a train bridge

Right next to the bridge there is a fire hydrant and as Louie spotted this, we both agreed it was like an incognito hydrant, lurking!

Oh how exciting that might be green something, quite blowy so it is a blurry shot. We have had a lot of that!

So who is who, we were yes bored and so doing the who does Isaac look like.  We were imagining if he had short hair as he has so much hair is hard to tell....but this is conclusive! Same shaped face!

Then we had a little of this

Poor magnolia

I spied these one day and I honestly have never seen these before, they were so bright on such a grey day

But don't speak too soon, patches of blue sky and of course those empty roads

Lovely evening time and the sun is an orange ball a long way a way. The air is still though and it is just magic. Me and the evening walk with the Louie companion.

The flowers are popping up everywhere

Oh daffs

These were rather sweet and the leaves were wrapped around them like a careful hand

People have been painting stones and we saw these the other night

Truly jolly and lovely

Oh that evening sun and the last of the light

What the....yes exactly there was snow again and I looked out and you couldn't see up the street. It came in thick and fast

Really wild

The street was white in seconds. Not sticking on the asphalt

and in a few moments behind the snow clouds and the blobs are snow coming down, you can see the sky change colour and blue sky returns once more

Hang in there tulip!

Seriously this was seconds

and as quickly as it came it went and we were returned to blue sky and blessed sunshine

So out on the walk I have spotted funny shapes and this really looks like an elephant to me! just look it is stepping over the fence

Love this evening shot, street light looks awesome and the inky sky and smokey cloud

Next day, light dusting

It stayed for a while

Long enough for a close up

So when we are bored we make cat houses...my cats are so finiky they have to have new all the time. So for a little while (a day!) this novelty was fun for them

Out and about I noticed on that on the lawns and stuff ie green stuff, there was millions of self planters! I have never noticed this before. But there was maple seedlings everywhere I looked!!!

I really like the trees and the disappearing light and the path into the park. The sky is all kinds of colours as the sun sinks.

Still finding flowers and these hellebore are in full mode

Right this bush is a goose, or a swan, whatever, I want to ask is it on purpose? and this one I think is

I have also never seen these flowers before

We know these guys

Empty streets and bright street lights

blaring yellow these daffs are

I have never seen this plant before and now I am seeing it everywhere

More bonkers helleborus orientalis.....that's it's name

Hyacinth....have to say they have an aroma that I can smell a little too well. Wowee or is that poohey. Whatever it's a very strong smell

Now what the heck are these peeps

I hate it when there is a bad haircut and no one tells you!

Yippee, magnolia time

This is golden sunlight, literally.

Truly lovely in the evening

Gentle pink skies, like candy floss.

Finally get a good picture of forsythia, been trying and trying. They are mostly quite weedy here and thin!

This is that star magnolia that years ago Louie called the wedding tree. Great cloud coming in and look at that blue sky, just lovely. This is just getting going

These daffs were pointed straight up at the sun!

Pretty daisy like flowers

Magnolia pre burst

Lovely daffs

and painted stones

I just loved these

We can all be kind

What are these trumpet flowers

and look at that leaf! Fabulous

That is those trumpets flowers close up

Leaves next

last night in the rain Louie and I found this guy on the pavement, totally sweet!

Thank you for seeing April up north and now we can officially say Spring really is underway!!!!!
