May and Spring!!!

At last the winter is gone. Huge sigh and Happy Spring. I was lucky to get to the Isle of Man this month and experience Spring there too and the build up to the TT races. It is years since I have been on the Island when this event is gearing up and it was it was quite exciting. We left before the racing began but I certainly got a flavor. But back to Spring! thank goodness and here is what it looks like both in Canada and the Isle of Man

Outside my front door! Tulips and May showers. These tulips are the gift that keeps giving

These are same the tulips with added sun!

That is amazing, every time I see this, I can't believe the transformation. Yes this is the same tulip

Trilliums, as far as I can see all through the woodland

and you get pink ones

And deep crimson

Blossoms are everywhere

And trees are exploding into life. There are thousands of these flowers and seeds all over the pavement

And hanging out in a hollow is just this family of mushrooms

Just before I departed for the Isle of man I saw this in my garden

Flying into Dublin and the moon is still up

Touch down at 5:30am Dublin Ireland....wow where is the ground? let alone the airport

Phewee the sun is shining in the Isle of Man later

Those fab bendy trees, showing you the direction of the wind off the sea

Plants are in full bloom here

The greenness of the Island is just so bright, after all the dull colours of Canada for the last 5 months!

The Island has lots of wonderful views for me to enjoy.

And that would be a mammoth jellyfish!

Barriers set up for the racing

This is a lookout set up at the side of the road, there were more and more of these while we were there

And road works on the race course as well!

Have a seat any one? These are for the spectators

These crash barriers practically cover this very low cottage

I thought these shelters along the prom were rather jolly and you can just see the ferry to Ireland

Just perfect blue of the boating lake and endless blue sky

In case you are lost, this is a pub in the Isle of Man! spot the three legs

As we flew past this shop I realised the name ! play on words. It's a fish and chip shop

Road workers job is never done. This has to be ready for bikes!

Sometimes interesting things appear in the bay, like this ship. It has at the back an English/ Cornish flag as well as the Manx flag

I thought these roofs and chimneys were wonderful.

Rather like the cascade of fishing floats.

I got talking to a visitor from the Isle of Wight and he pointed out this jellyfish in the water. This does look like a rock!

Just at the local super market, this chap making himself comfortable

There are these red gates on the way to the southerly tip of the island and for some reason they speak to me. I loved seeing the farmers tracks through the field. All the colours are just so vibrant and verdent green

You can see in the  middle of the picture his other gate too! This view never gets old for me. In this picture it seems like the Calf is part of the Isle Of Man

These are Eider Ducks and very hard to get a good close up of. They don't like to be disturbed and always roost along the edge of the sea....

They soon got fed up of me and off they went. But they are the Eider as in your Eider Down!

Beautiful Eider Ducks, they actually squeak, but these guys have spied me
and away we go

Near where they are in Port St Mary the rocks have such a variety seaweed on them, all that colour

I love these steps made onto the rock.

Sublime. Every single thing about this picture is pure magic. The bestest bit is the sun on the water though...

Now you see me

Now you don't

We can all sit here and just look at the calm waters

Beautiful Irises

Something to say?

Sea pinks

and a gate to nowhere

Just so blue and green!

The metal rusty object is the old fence post from maybe the Victorians. Glad they updated this. Also can you notice the vapor trails?

I really liked this picture across the bay to the patchwork green fields of the headland

And the path and shining guard rail and another vapor trail in that lovely blue sky

And this is what the roads look like in the led up to the bike races....lots of bikes!

How amazing is that blue sea. Just so spectacular!

The colours on this day were mind blowing. Such blue!

The island at it's best

and this was part of the walk along the coastal path....we have a long way yet!

Cows in the distance...don't worry there is fence between us

Love that you can see the mountains of Ireland

Boulders and steep hills down!

There's the ferry, and sheep posing

This fast craft was a Border control vessel. Just along the edge of the cliff is the sea pinks in full bloom. Don't think I'll pick any, on the edge there !

and off the vessel went through where the currents meet, but think he can handle it

This is my Himalayas !!! I know it doesn't look it but this is super steep and loose stone. There is a miniscule marker for the path on the rock. But honestly you would have literally no where else to walk, just sayin no need to put a marker down!!!

And yet further to walk!

But the view is spectacular

Others had made their way in car! These guys were out for a drive in a group

More posing sheep

and a hill top cow, seriously, it's just standing like a look out!

Racing clouds

Over the tops of the hills and hills on the horizon too

This is a fab bus stop, not sure who gets the bus here. It is hard to spot this tucked down and attached to the gate post!

That's a great gate post!

Wonderful plant life on the dry stone wall

Decorated nail!

Great gate!!!!!

Really? what is that....I also think that the person at the back is on their phone!!!

Flags out for the racers

All the hedges were green and white all over the island

More temporary viewing platforms

Flag flying and a sneak peak of the sea. Fabulous lily

Calm days and no horizon

Vibrant seaweed

Bands of colour and our lovely Tower of Refuge

and the boat is leaving!!!

and low tide, low enough to walk

And off to London, I loved this clock. It was an art installation and the man in the clock moved!

Twos company

Great sky and wonderful Kensington Park

A bit of Henry Moore

Out for a swim

and the babies

Moorhen and chicks

Out for a stroll

Hyde Park and red Buses

Wow living wall

Lovely bow front

Now that's a fancy door arch

Great pub with twisted chimneys

Royal College of art, which is quite the building

Just London streets, but what wonderful flags and I even managed to get a red phone box

That roof line! Love the sunburst top on the right

A column of people rushing for the train! It looks like a river of people in Paddington Station London!

But this is my favorite picture of the last month. Seen in a front window in a terrace house.

Oh lovey I think you lost your head!
