This is to prove it has snowed once this winter. Having just experienced a 70 degree day in February....this seems very strange but this was about two weeks ago.
This made me smile as it's a cushion...made of snow
We've had the most amazing mornings
Snow drops
And now to the main event. A weekend in New York. These are some trees on the way to NY and going through New Jersey
Birds not sure whether they are coming or going
All of a sudden a plane flies overhead and wow that was close. Actually that's just Newark!
This is a car freighter thingey and all the cars that are coming out of it!!!
Brilliant bridge
That would be New York
I know you know it, yes that's right the Empire State building, king kong is round the back having a snack
Lots of great murals
This one is spectacular and what about those water towers.
This building caught my eye
And so the sun goes to bed on New York
Amazing
The thing is New York just has just the most brilliant architecture and they are always building. It must be the most built upon land ever
Greenwich Village
Liked this pub sign
This garage is now for parking cars and they are stacked in here. Look at that great bay window
Super fashion window in Greenwich Village and this is second hand.Love that reflection
Did I mention the plaster work?
It's all fantastic
This is the library
Great bricks
Brilliant doors
Look at the porch cover
These bricks, are they Flemish style?
They obviously have a conservation thing, so the front is completely fake?
Fire house
Scary columns
Interesting expression on this one, but when you have snakes wrapped about your head you're bound to look a bit pensive
Great statue
This one had a bird nesting and I caught it about to hop down
This lady wearing a winter coat and pink fur I kept seeing her all the time!
To the casual observer it looks like a road but what that is, is cobbles and tarmac!
I think you can work out what that is and it is the reason for the trip to Greenwich Village :)
I think on top of this building is pigeon coups
What an outfit
This is the high line walk way. On a disused elevated rail line they have turned it into a park and we walked it. This was rather an interesting piece to read
How about that for sculpture
A view from the walk
There is some vegetation
Please also enlarge this picture, I thought that was an interesting poster and as I went to take it there is Empire State again!
Just such amazing lines in the building
Someone making a point.
How beautiful and it's Witch Hazel
See they had snow here too
Another thing to read more than once and if the trees weren't in the way, the word would read "deadly"
Just wow
This was a bit cheeky and it made me laugh.
Grasses on the walk way
Past the factory areas, that chimney is fantastic
It was a popular day for a walk
But artful graffiti
Lots of building
Massive train yard
There is the Hudson
But wow so much to see
Going to Brooklyn
Speeding in an uber
Over the bridge
That's a great shot of Lady Liberty
So the obsession continues with the water towers but in my defense that's a spectacular one
Great famous shot
Look at that brick work
More murals
Inside a theatre in Brooklyn, preserved and then left in a raw state. It was quite startling. It really impressed us
Fabulous crumbly column
The old paint work brilliant
On our way to central park and more decorations on buildings
This was amazing. The front is completely fake and the real building is the glass one!!
Central Park
Yes February in central park!
Ice on the pond
Great topper
gold and shiney
Bye Bye Liberty....
