All leaved out

So we move onto what I am calling summer, Whoo hoo. There has been no snow these last 2 weeks and all the trees have leaved and in some cases produced blossom. With time on on my hands and daily walks I am seeing lots of things in minute detail! Some would call that being bored, others may say just watching leaves sprout and the amazingness of spring summery business.

I find it truly amazing that we have been like this for 10 weeks. It also led me to reflect on how long something becomes less strange, a month of doing something is just weird but it is quite fascinating how you can get sort of used to things after 2 months. Don't get me wrong there are lots of things we don't like and you never get used to but this (hate the phrase) New Normal is just odd. But at the same time I am such a home body it is laughable. Damian is even encouraging me to speak to people, I know he has officially lost his mind, since when was that even a thing. I've always plenty to say, oh hang on maybe he wanted me to say my things to someone other than him. Ok well never mind then....

Here is the end of May:

we have had the odd shower...These tulips were not being bothered at all

This is what a daff/tulip thing?

OOOh spooky foggy night

Ok so maybe some of you remember that last year I had tulips in front of my house they were orange...there is a picture on May's page of the calendar and they are orange. They start out however yellow but if you look closely they do have orange edging to the petal....to be continued

Everything is going for it now

So they are still yellow and completely sucking up the sun and heat (know how they feel)

There are these types and they remain the same

OK light relief from tulips. What is she doing, there is NOTHING on the floor. She looks like she has broken her neck. How can that possibly be comfortable. Maybe she is waiting for a massage?

OK back to tulips and in the back left of picture all tiny like is Isaac and Damian...it was raining but we didn't care. I often get left behind on walks

Super dooper

Very nice and droplets

I liked the stripe of colour and the tightly furled petals

Nearly done with these guys

blossoms

and helpful reminders

Look a tree in the puddle

Just so cool getting those droplets on leaves

New tulips that I planted last year. They looked pretty good

OK just hang on there a minute! They are flipping orange. Yes the same tulips at the beginning of the blog and they have changed colour!!!! It is officially a thing

This is a self planter, or maybe squirrel helped in this. Apparently they do that kind of thing...Very delicate though this one in colour

This maple took 2 days to go from this to full leaf

I really do like them tulips

So sweet

This shade was amazing, light pink and black stem

They are quite lovely and I see the appeal

I liked that they had many colours in this display

OK yes it is dandelions but for a week we had carpets of them all over

glorious yellow heads all to the sun (I know they are a weed but they are incredible and prolific and apparently they do have ancient medicinal qualities and the bees love them)

Yippee Iris time

That is Maple all out!

A few magnolias are left after snow and rain

Sphinx and friend

I see this quite a bit the filling in of the colour. It is quite the process

This is currently the scene all over Waterloo, lime green and deep red.

The previous owners of our house planted this Lilly of the Valley. It doesn't last more than a week but the scent is heavenly outside my kitchen window

They really are lovely

Back to Dandelions, now they are fields of seeds....that was in a matter of days. Ultra efficient

White violet

Super zoom, this fox went past Louie and I on our evening walk and yes sorry it is carrying dinner

golden rays of the last of the sun

This is the view out of Louie's bathroom window for a week!

This shrub has gone nuts all over the city with its blossom. In fact blossom seems more this year

Those dandelions doing their thing

I know I should hate them but I do admire their tenacity

Oh those irises and they come in all colours

They really are quite complicated

Now that is a tulip

Them too

see what I mean about blossom

I've never seen white iris

I mean exploding blossom

That's both of them, with the cat whisper person

won't be long until no more branches and it is just leafy

Interesting dandelion head

perfect puff ball the gardeners bane

confetti pavement after rain

One super cat and friend

Bella is the weirdest cat I know. Again is that comfortable ?. I suppose it is. It looks like she has been dropped from a great height

Or what about this, in the middle of the floor! Well she has brought us presents and that is exhausting work

Ferns are about

Yes and long! short hair. We are calling this fluff stuff hair do

This might be the prefect iris picture

This is horse chestnut flowers. You can can really see the colours on this

Great chalk love heart on a building. I also like the squares of windows behind and the shadow of the tree on the drive...

Gentle tranquil garden scene

My iris

New little lilac bush

More colour in my garden

In winter the windows have all white behind them. In summer you get the greens and coppery red of leaves. Amazing that there is a 4 lane road on the other side of the glass....

and the rainbows from the window are lovely.....
