Pink Snow

All the cherry blossom trees are now coming into leaf and so that means all that blossom that had been exploding on them....has to go somewhere and so we get tons of "pink snow".

It is one of the things that I miss from our house on the Island. The cherry trees in the garden were spectacular but now I have a whole town of them! It's rather lovely.
This was one morning at the bus stop and the light was perfect. For 7.00am it was a beautiful  morning.
This is the same corner and where all that cherry blossom is now...still beautiful and like a coating of pink fluff

All over town is the same scene

This is the other side of town, early morning in Everhart Park...I'm a little too late for a really good "pink snow" moment... But then I saw this shot through the trees

What really caught my eye was the dandelions catching the morning light in their fuzzy seed heads

They sort of glowed and look at the blossom trees in the distance...bright pink or what!!!!

This cherry tree is one of my favorites and it had a ton of blossom! Literally snowed all over the parked car

And the same another day!!!

Liked this one as it shows you how much blossom is there and how deep it is...it is like snow! just nicer!!!

and some more

This tree I saw on the way to the supermarket this morning and I had admired it full bloom but couldn't believe how much blossom this tree had held...well you get a sense of that!

This is a red bud transforming into delicate leaf

This is the boys yesterday morning....I think these two pictures need no words...or maybe they do....something like "Oh look I have a Louie accessory"

"oh all right then..I'll hug you!....if I must."

I hope that this picture shows for you...it is wisteria outside Louie's old school...this is just stunning. I had had to go back for this shot as the next one was taken at the stop light :) But it shows you how big this is....
Enjoy your days...think we're getting rain...can't complain..not with all this lovely color around us....and finally..Louie was in the Local Paper this week. Hopefully you will still find it on the Daily Local West Chester newspaper webpage and the article is called Young Boy Volunteers at The Woman's Exchange..........dated Monday 4th May

24 hours

I know this has to be a record, another blog in such a short time. But I was just blown away with some of the things that I have seen in the last 24 hours and I just wanted to share them! It does seem that sometimes there is just not enough photos that I can take, there is just literally so much to see and honestly I don't go any where and when I do go out, it is to the same places! go figure (as they say here :) )

Also still learning....I was talking to a journalist yesterday whilst I was working at the Woman's Exchange....about the wondrous Louie (promoting the Woman's Exchange and the 'vehicle' we are using is Louie's talents and this time it is his building of the new website www.wewc.org just superb!!!! It even feeds into our live website. Any way it meant talking to this local journo and I said to my colleagues at the Exchange later that I had "talked the hind legs of a donkey" .....when I was talking to the journalist about Louie and blabbing on about him....in hopes of a great article on him and the Woman's Exchange.....well they looked at me blankly and said they didn't know what I meant  ie the donkey bit and had never heard that phrase! So again I live and learn.... Apparently it is talked the ears of someone.....I like the donkey one better! just sayin'

Any who, here are the pictures....
This darling bumble bee....he was on the pavement outside the Woman's Exchange yesterday morning. I know it is sad, he is dead....but had to take a photo..something about the bricks the shadow and the bee....it looks so strange, sort of posed but I suppose this is 'drop down dead' kind of a look?

Alright this is a happier one this is 5,55am this morning and the sunrise was spectacular!

I have been meaning to include this picture for ages..this is a red bud tree by the university and I love the bricks? stone work and the window mullions and the crooked branches and that red bud well it is bright neon purple if there is or can be such a colour (taken this morning about 7.16am)

This made me laugh. They have these signs in the residential area around the uni....and this one is literally surrounded by puff balls of cherry blossom so you have to be directly under and looking up in the tree...and of course pink blossom like that even shut me up it is so beautiful! No worries of me being fined................... This photo was 7.20am

7.21am
All along the street is blossom and now the dogwoods are out, with their delicate green leaves and their plate like flowers..mine has yet to flower but when it does it will be spectacular

7.24am
This cherry blossom is from a tree filling someones back yard (in the English sense) and it is so lovely. I noticed it yesterday and mourned the fact I would be taking the photo into the sun but what the heck I did it anyway today

Now these have appeared on the street for First Friday, this month is also Gallery Walk night on the same night, tomorrow and the artists of the area go all out. I spied these wondrous things after popping into the bakery! I saw the artist there by chance and he said they are fiberglass...he is called Andre and he and his partner shop...yes you guested it, at the Woman's Exchange and now I know what he makes.

The caption could be..I'm sorry, paws are hard to eat m and ms with but that's just life honey"

This is some graffiti that I saw the day before yesterday and I think is funny...they have stuck an angry (yes he is look at his eyes) koala bear head and wearing a native american headress on the person figure walking the dog! Love it

These were left at the park one afternoon...they look like a set piece...so posed hilarious and of course they were taken within 24 hours...funny thing is I never see people putting them out and I never see the people that take them away.......................
