Summer time

Our strange journey through this year continues and what a weird time it is. I feel I have been in the back yard and that is about it. But I have visited the small towns about us and looking back over the month I realise I have actually been doing something!

Hope you enjoy this look at Southern Ontario in the summer time

This really could be anywhere in Southern Ontario but this shows all that we see as we leave our city, the farmers fields, the farm silos in the background and the sky, stretching out.

It could be a Manx Glen

Little outings and backyard lights are a tonic

For some reason there are a lot of classic cars about here. Someone told me it was because of the long winters and something to do in the garage! Whatever the reason, old truck is a favorite of mine. I also know that this one goes, as I saw someone driving it the other day

Classic shot as we whizz by, I almost missed it, the lines and all the shades of green! I also like how the barn roof is a dusty red and low. Just great colours and the bonus of the fact it is a speed shot, the wing mirror got in the picture on the left! (in case you missed it)

This is the run off from the pond and it runs into another holding pond further down

Ducks have settled in the mid day heat and the clouds are perfectly reflected

In Elora one day I saw this bike! What a laugh

We inherited these with the house and they are fantastic. I now wait for their arrival with eager anticipation and this year they bloomed wonderfully
My birdbath perfect reflection pool
Wonky picture but the doors are wonderful, this is Fergus. Just spied the clouds reflected in the glass of the transom, pretty cool
Great door knocker!
Looks like a face on the mail box, just love it
The tin ceiling thing here is amazing, I have never really rated them but now I actively spy them out and I believe that other people do that too! They are totally wonderful and the workmanship quite something. This is a great example
Fergus has quite a few interesting buildings and the architecture seems very solid, it's Elora's neighbor. Elora has elaborate and delicate buildings and well Fergus is just robust.  We were looking at the top floor and the tile pattern, so much detail. I had liked Elora best but Fergus was looking pretty good the day I was there

Standing outside waiting to go into my favorite food shop and these balconies caught my eye, as did the clouds forming....it was quite a wait
First acorn
Even weeds are looking nice these days. This really is a bit of a meander blog, but then that's summer. Sort of lazy really but so colourful and as we know the reverse of this, well got to drink it all in
