Who stole September!

I think that a giant whale came and stole September. It has literally blown by. I say blown as it has been tough and we are knocked out by it!

I was skipping along looking forward to school starting and happy boys back at school. Well actually that didn't happen. It has been a rough going back to school and both boys took a few weeks to settle.......that process is still not complete! We had bus issues and tired issues and peer issues and teenage issues....................and yes a LOT of issues. But that said I find that October has rolled along and I am finally getting what I need to do. Quite a lot of nothing. These things all sort themselves out after a fashion and I'm just going to be a bit of goldfish and just instantly forget stuff. I find that actually I don't need to try that hard to do that! It comes naturally!

On another note, I have managed a few photos and I place a warning on these photos, "the people that you see in this blog are "actors" and they are not the real fozards" (The real fozards are currently living separately in various parts of the basement!....OK I jest but these pictures really are rare sightings of smiling teen. Just saying! I'm glad I have the evidence otherwise I would have sworn that Isaac had lost those facial muscles to in fact smile. Oh the joy of a blog!!!!)

This is the first day of school.........the clock behind shows the time! Something like 6.40am!

They are hugging him, as he never goes to the bus stop. But this is a special event the first time we are apart in 3 months straight!!!!!! Yeah back to school.

I have no idea what Damian is doing but Isaac looks so smiley..love this photo

We went to Longwood and it was such a lovely day I managed a few new shots.

I must have taken pictures of the Italian Gardens at Longwood a million times and never spotted this angle.

OK no smiles but nice walking and colors!

At Longwood they have recently extended the meadow and this is the stretch of land now. This vista is beautiful

This old farmhouse has been renovated and is at the far side of the meadow. I love the colors and the way the tree is so massive behind the house.

Just some lovely plants along the way

OK Dames...time for home. He sat down in the conservatory at Longwood...and instantly was asleep. He tells me it was the comfy chair.

Waiting for school.....so sweet

AH yes and Bella Cat has a box....she was so funny about this box there was fighting between her and her brother.........well it resulted in her winning....that's my girl!

Autumn Fall colors are here and I love the way the pavement is turned gold with the falling leaves.

These are all trees in the streets around us...........I just drink it in. Like a tonic to the soul.

Now my Wasp Nest project. I spied this Horse Chestnut tree and it had this huge wasp nest...I came back a week later to take a photo and the wasps were all dead!

Although we hate the stingey things...the nests are a truly remarkable structures and to think that is all chewed wood............just amazing.

So now I am looking for wasp nests and I find this one near the Woman's Exchange, smaller probably half the size but still amazing and yes it is hanging in another Horse Chestnut tree !

Also no evidence of activity.

This is the street that it is on and I loved the way the flag hung and the foliage of the tree has browned

This is a tree at the end of North Franklin Street turning beautifully.

This is Lucy's Sweet Gum native to here and the colors on the leaves are fantastic

I like this picture as it has all the colors red, green, yellow and the burnt orange. Just perfect.

This is the tree from the previous picture against the house across the street. The black shutters are really good in this.

I often stop at this telegraph pole that has the tree grown about it and I liked the seasons colors displayed here and below is a berry tree in full berry...........wow

On my way back from town I spotted this and to Amy and Joanne (I think we were talking about this) I didn't pick it up! Where I am from they give you a rash.............but how seasonally correct is this caterpillar! Right on baby Halloween here we come. I'm off to find my gourds!
