2 Springs!

Really the best time is Spring time
and this year there were two to be enjoyed,
on both sides of the ocean
The settling down of the day and the blanket of cloud that came to take the rest of the sunset. Just a bit of magical cloud at the lake

These are trilliums and a good sign that spring is here for good

Early morning on the beach

To fantastically calm sunsets

Always seems to be a special treat here
and for some this is a daily ritual to take in.
I am not surprised, sunsets are addictive

Onto the other side of the world and gorse is a show and a half!

Managed to catch the end of the bluebells

This magical glen, where time seemed to stand still

All the colours of the new beech tree leaves

This was a very serene place and so unexpected

Busy bridge lifting, always exciting, with
traffic both sides of the bridge waiting for the yacht

"looking at me!"

Morning sunshine on the sea

Strange sights and this lichen seems unreal.
I've taken this picture before,
amazing that the same lichen is there year after year

The plants that grow on the walls were always a favorite of mine

and in just a few yards there is a massive variety in this section of manx stone wall

An absolute riot
Glowy grey moss

Hawthorn will grow anywhere

Windy day stretching the waves

Wall flowers and this view has remained unchanged from my child hood

This building is slated for demolishing and these details I had to capture

What I didn't realise is that I captured perfectly
the reflection of the roof opposite in the window.
Loved that peeling paint and reveal of red paint beneath

White tops and blue

shaded paths where the wind doesn't find me

Idyllic beaches

the most fantastic crop of primroses among moss
Hill paths are filled with greenery

so much life on the small hillocks by the sea

The sea was roaring this day

Up on the top of the hill the view to the Calf, high lighted by a fat ribbon of cloud

The sun glinting on grass as it moves, makes it look like a swaying sea

The ancestors remain here and I always have to visit this spot.
This day was as often it is up here, was very windy

Flaming gorse

Bluebells and new leaves

I promise this was all taken in 5 minutes

No filter affects

Just the sky being incredible on this sunset evening

Incoming storm. This is what rain looks like on the horizon

The much talked about stranded ship. It was floated again after.
But stayed here for all the island to see for weeks.
I like the pirate flag atop the mast

More reflections and a seagull waiting...

The clouds rule the day

tumbling down the hill

Swirling around the tower

But not for long and all the signs of spring well under way

Sea pinks a carpet of pink

Back to the lake

and we get mist here too

This is definitely summer coming now

In the neighbourhood tulip trees are such a lovely tree

These new beech tree leaves edged in pink and felt soft like velvet

The water is such a draw

As is the sunset and the light, lighting both water and sand.

Till next time
