I was very happy to see some green grass in November and didn't know how grateful I would be for this sight, here is the result!
It started like this and we got the most amazing colours
Intense reds, hard to believe
Mellow yellow and some leaf drop
On a soggy day the leaves looked rich
But then the snow started, even at the beach
It was too soon and the leaves that were heavy on the trees dropped
On snow!
The big gingko shrug
Ginkgo and snow all of a mix
It felt back to front
Beautiful but too soon
Trees dropped all their leaves and the snow had a carpet of leaves atop
The effects were beautiful
But so many leaves on white
The sunsets were dramatic as the light faded earlier and earlier
Till we travelled to the green isle
The rich green of the grass and the chummy mushrooms a marvel
Every type and colour
Heavy skies
and heavy rough seas
On this day I was hardly able to stand upright in the wind
Swaying palms
With skittering clouds
This apricot sky was found above a car park
Then quick as you like, back to calm
And the signs of the season
Mossy paths
sky, land and seas
It was a total mill pond
I found some friends on a walk one morning
There really is something about rain washed roads
The journey to the top of the hill always exhilarating
and although you can't see it, it was an exceptionally windy day
Sun lit road
Flowering gorse
Down to the castle
The sink is full in this harbour and whipping over the wall
The sky as always a draw....
I hope you have a lovely calm holiday time
