I know amazing right. This a penguin at the Wild Life park on the Island. I'm not a fan of caged animals but they look after them and they do teach us something about wildlife and the world. Here's the penguins and look at this guy!
"honestly Cyril, the fish was this big!"
"Ok well don't listen! What do I care!"
Mr Coti on the prowl
"You know Herbert, I think if you hold still, I might just get the critter!"
"Oh my, isn't life exhausting Cindy." She said with a sigh. "I know, this scratching that I'm doing, is going to mean I will have to snooze for at least 20 minutes, minimum!"
Look at that Otter on the left! Just hysterical. I know how it feels!!!
"All right fans, I am holding the pose"
Oh Hello Mr Peacock....splendid strutting walk going down here
"Right, if you put your paws together, so, and just focus, everything is just so amazing. OM" That would be meditating with eyes open then.
"Er yes, I am pretty special. And yes I know you're looking at me"
"But right now, we have more important things to do....."
"Like spotting birds of prey!"
What a cutie
Here is a blue peacock
That plumage is just gorgeous.
These guys were basking in the sun and the glass was glarey. But look at that blissykins face!
So that's what storks do to make all that noise. They clack their beaks
Yup, we heard you!
Russian chipmunk. Totally speedy and cute
So this Peahen has a little chick. OMG that is the sweetest thing ever and I've never seen a baby peacock.
Totally the sweetest thing ever and such a surprise.
Here's looking at you..
I think flamingos are just amazing and this picture, all the different colors and the light in the lake and the reflection of the sky, really cool.
When the sun was shinning on them, their plumage looked amazing.
Even got the Kookaburra. What a fab bird. You can see how it is related to the Kingfisher family. (Well, I am totally guessing that. But sounds about right)
A heron just minding his own business
This Lynx was just beautiful
But yes I agree, now it is time for 40 winks
Totally sweet!
Red Panda. I wasn't sure he was still there...but out he came and I got him. He quickly turned away. They are related to the raccoon family. (Yup took that info off the board!)
And my bow to you, thank you folks for coming and safe drive home.
Really great sculpture at the Wildlife Park of the Great Elk that roamed the Island in prehistoric times.
On the way back along the prom that day, we got stuck in rush hour evening traffic, so I clicked away. This the Ben My Chree of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, coming in from the UK.
I'm sorry I love the top of this building and wow, the flags. Yes I like this funny picture
I also love this. The tops of the flowers and the fuzzy tower of Refuge in Douglas Bay. A quick snap but I love it. I especially love the stone wall
Presenting Louie Fozard and his debut blog photos.
Now when you have an apprentice, life is good. All of the pictures here of the Electric Tram are by Louie and they are fantastic. I think he did a better job than I could have done!
This is the ticket booth at Laxey for the Mountain tram
Here is the station
Near by is this blacksmiths and I am really pleased he got this shot
and what about this of the Laxey Wheel. Picture perfect!
The thing about going up to the mountain is that you see the most amazing views and some mundane things too. Now these fields have walls of manx stone and they are all made by manual labour a long time ago. But this is dry stone wall and they are all over our country side. Great shot Louie
The view as you go up the mountain is wonderful
This is a spectacular shot of Sulby reservoir. Really wonderful. The lay of the land, the curve of the trees. Then the view of the sea beyond!
I like this one too with the slash of green forest and out to sea over the hills
The view back down to Laxey where the tram came from
Now this is a magic shot. He has the hills of Cumbria and they are so clear and massive! and the coast of the Island.
I mean that isn't the Isle of Man. That's coast line that you can see from the top of Snaefell. Just wow and wow
Just the whole composition of this picture is lovely. The moor the hills spine and then down to low land and the sea. Just lovely. And of course thanks to Nana for taking Louie to the top of the mountain.
This is the tram stop on the top of the mountain
But as you can see, the sky is ever changing.
The shadow on the land. The green of those hills. Just looks like shades of velvet
This is a tram he spotted.
Truly I have someone to be proud of, those pictures are amazing!
They are amazing shots, Louie! Well done!
