Continuing Autumn

It is quite hard to actually think of what I have been doing since the last time that I posted my blog and then I look at the pictures and there has been little to report. Our weather has been such a mixed bag and dare I say mostly just unseasonably hot. Don't they know that I have boots to wear and they need cold to be worn!!! But you know those words will come back to haunt me, as having had such a hot summer we no undoubtedly will have a punishingly cold winter.

Anyway here are the pics
Ok I know this is just a corner of the building. But look at that sky and how the creeper is winding along the wire! The shadow is my favorite bit of the picture onto the building.

There are so many pieces of color to distract you with this time of the year and this vine in a hedge caught my eye

This is the most photographed line of trees in the Chester County area. They have cut out the crowns completely and they have the branches just growing around the power lines. I have tried a million times to capture this as I drive this route often and bemoan that I haven't yet captured it. Well this is as good as it gets, as believe you me there are always cars whizzing along. So you just have to imagine that it is even more spectacular than it appears here and the sky really was that blue!

This tree is a maple and it is just turning. Just beautiful and again the amazing blue sky

I find it fascinating that some leaves turn all of a sudden and others stay green. I am sure that one of my boys will tell me why this is!

This is just to show that sometimes it does rain...and I was at horse riding with Isaac and spotted these water drops on the fir tree.

This was the bush next to the car! that really is violet!

I love this, simple and yet amazing. It's the pine needles that have shed...they too loose leaves or pine needles. Wow

HALLOWEEN

This is the house from the street. Always a challenge to get a photo at night. But for atmosphere alone this is a 10! We tried to get the vibe of the Borg from Star Trek and we have two screens and projectors, we also had sound too but tried not to make it too scary as some of the kids are under 5, who are trick or treating.

Here are our people who have been 'assimilated'

Like the smoke and I tied lights to the candy. Louie and Damian tried to direct people with their lasers..but that wasn't helpful! Think they were so confused trying to work out what we were and why we were doing it.

I thought that they looked fantastic and Louie made the electronics and lighty things and Damian made the costumes. Great job guys!!!! Now we have to plan for next year....

The other morning this is the sight of the early morning light catching the tree tops by a nearby house

The colors are amazing

This is this morning

Sunrise was spectacular

But this is the favorite, as the sun hits this cumulus nimbus cloud, turning it into a mountain!

So as they say, 'that's all folks' but as you know, give me a few weeks and we'll see what more colors I find...the Ginkgo will be next to go.
