Birthday Croissant!
With relighting candle!!!
Nana and boy! (I really like this picture of them watching all the fun)
The "fun" being Grandad talking tactics about lifting heavy objects. The heavy object being Isaac's lego!
The croissant cake was a tradition long ago started from holidays in France and Isaac never having a cake as we were always away on his birthday... but I did get him this cake and it was yummmmm
Louie's dance recital is always a huge deal, lots and lots of practice and then the performance....these photos are from the dress rehearsal. He did four dances in the show and they performed the show twice in one day. That was a tiring weekend for a Louie and me...I was backstage mama! This is Louie mid lift...trust that is!!!!
There is lots of sitting about though....
Getting ready to spring into action for Jungle beat
These next two are just sweet shots of being in the moment....
This final picture is the tap number and they just look so serious and taking it in. They did a stella job.
These three photos are from Longwood outing with Nana and Granddad......this bird just co operated
Exit O...just plain old Cape May to me.....
This is day one! Happy chappie
there are so many cupola, and I love them
the marshes are really lovely
but the sea is what I love the best
Super shot of Isaac smiling the first week. This is from the Lobster Wharf and watching people coping with dive bombing black headed gulls as we eat fish and chips and the most fantastic clam chowder.
They were trying to be serious.....
Playing poker dice!!! we love this game and this is our favorite coffee shop.
grown up Louie with a paper boy hat on!
Isaac's hat!
Louie scores a hole in one at pitch and put!!!!
yes being that good is exhausting
there are just so many spectacular buildings in Cape May, this is the Mansion House...for obvious reasons....
I took this because this is air conditioning Victorian style.
This is the Air Museum...Isaac fitting into the cut out....Mr Fozard, not so much.
Thought that this is all he would do on holiday..........
this really captured our first week. Louie fully into the beach and Isaac not but he was willing to try and carry water................
Louie's favorite pose!!!! we did get him out..........
But getting this sneaky photo was great...they are still lovely together at times.
Love all the gingerbread as they call it, in this done up house and this run down one...
What a lovely garden all hidden away
I noticed when we got to Cape May that the Mimosa was not in flower....well two days later look what happened......spot the bee in the pic below
This sight I had to take a photo of especially as it was the second time that morning I saw someone doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They love ferns on porches here and what is that...yup a British Flag!
This is just a good street shot and the building below is where I go and get the most fantastic old jewellery. This years find was a cuff bracelet, pre 1935. Native American and just the most amazing piece of jewellery.
These mimosa were just glorious.....
Fab seahorse..got this snap whilst walking one morning....
This is what a holiday can do to you....
And yes another British flag
Hooray we got him in the water!!!!!
and there was cooperative play!
We made an owl and turtle
This is Isaac scouting for shells and Louie is under water in this shot, getting them from the bottom
Beach boy
Even Dames got in on the sculpting!
Louie said I didn't have enough shots of him...so this is Louie
Isaac took these....from the top of the lighthouse...it was a VERY windy day.
This is Cape May Point and the one below is the sweep of Cape May itself . Thanks to Isaac who took these for me...
I stayed inside at the top of the lighthouse......afterwards we went around the nature reserve...
the lighthouse we had just been up....
this shot Louie spotted for me and look I even managed to get the cobweb by the bird.....
this is a red winged blackbird
think this is a indigo bunting
Don't know if you can spot the butterfly
this was an amazing creature...see those wings.....
I love these statues.....I often feel like roaring and they are doing it so well.
This is the morning after hurricane Albert touch North Caroline and gave us huge surf
Even the lifeguards had to move their station and this was water unprecedentedly high! the water is up onto the beach..........................
