So I sat down and had wanted to write the January new year message blah blah blah and then as I loaded my pictures I reaslised that December was huge for this house and I haven't posted a thing!
There isn't that much that I can say apart from we have waited for Christmas all year! so no anticipation then.............All that planning and worrying and just the most energy expended on anything ever and then I forget it once it has passed. I think that maybe after all I am a goldfish!!!!
The season was kicked off by yet more ice and cold and I managed to get some icy pictures.
It was amazing to see the ice all over the trees and every surface. It was bitter cold though.
This is the Beech Tree and she looks white because of the ice of every single twig!
These red berries really caught my eye and the whole thing is encased in ice.
When I was outside it was so strange, as the ice began to thaw ever so slightly, it was enough to fall from the surfaces where it had formed and literally rain down. Some of those icicles were huge!!!! So I didn't stay out long...just sayin'
But onto recital and unfortunately didn't get many good pictures of Louie but these show him doing the actual performance. (We had been cancelled the day before because of snow. We were all just relieved that the show did happen!) This dance was a tap and to Charlie Brown........it was brilliant
This has to be a favorite picture, he really looks like a male dancer in this one, ready to do the Skaters Ballet Dance
Here is Madeline with him and they partnered....so sweet!
Big finish and we are all smiling.
Well Done little brother!
It wasn't long before the parentals and Julie came and we had to get ready for Christmas. We began with tree cutting. We had left it till the 20th and good job too. The weekend suddenly turned mild and we had a 70 degree day to cut the tree!
This year they had trolleys!
Agh Isaac has the saw
There was a lot of selection that was required!
Yes Isaac still has the saw and he is going to cut it down!
Praying Mantis case! wow. The first time we went to get a tree from this place 3 years ago, that tree also had a Praying Mantis case on it!
Just a little one, I can do this.............
OK maybe some help is required now
Timber!
Loading the trolley
Off we go!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting this tree on the roof of the car is lot trickier than it looks!
Job done and Damian can load the rest of us in and home to decorate the tree.
That really does look quite pretty!
There was just too many pictures to load you up with so, this is installment one and installment two will follow................................
