We are so sprung!!!

It is the most lovely time of the year here in Canada and you feel you can sit and watch the garden come to life. I never tire of this season and so far so good! And I made it to the West Coast!!!

These little beauties are eye catchers

we seriously do fit in this box!

a riot in the rain

and daffodils

blue snowdrops

and crocuses in deep shades

walks in the forest

and sprouting moss

thumb's up!

just hanging out

such a periwinkle blue

Forsythia just bursting

More daffs

Raging waters after some rain

Just incredible and very fast moving

It was so fast the water, and amber

Sunlight in the trees

Primroses

Up in the air and amazing landscapes of clouds

West Coast beauti

Back to Bellingham

Interesting corners

and a shocked face in the door way. What a fab chair

They had murals everywhere

and spring is coming!

Chihuly glass

Damian finds someone to talk to

a red bus! in Fairhaven

Great buildings here in Fairhaven WA

Even the cars fly here!!!

They seem to really like a corner clock

Cherry blossom time and pink blossom rain

Just spectacular and they have quite a few of these
in the Bellingham area in WA. They are beautiful

This had over 120 carriages. It was really quite
something to be there just at the right time

that's a useful thing to do with some off cuts

Lovely art deco water fountain

raggedy tulips

As we left the moonlight on the water was amazing

and we arrived early morning as the sun shone across our region
still mittens about

I loved this sign

The magnolias although eagerly anticipated lasted but a few days, the rain finished them off

That would be the rain and our lovely tulips by the front door

Baby pine cones! Like mini strawberries

March and lions

So the adage is comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb and I think that this year that was certainly true. That we have had snow and sunshine and spring flowers has made for a varied month.

Tulips eventually but not for another month!

Wet blanketing snow fell early in the month, this was just one morning

Sort of improbable snow, look how thick it is on this blue spruce

Leaving seat cushions, if you want a cold bum!

Our lion, Miss Bella and the war on the basket

Eventually I won and house sitting returned

When the sun did come out and this was the first day of warmth,
 instantly there were worker bees

I am feeling these are a different type of snowdrop

Stripey crocus, I think they are my favorite

Fabulous porch art, maybe it's called 'Green Hug
which would be entirely appropriate for Spring!!!!

Cold frosty mornings, filled with colour

and catkins!!!! all in a row

These twigs score on the colour pop

Our late winter landscape

But you can find colour if you look and moss is flourishing

As are these mini iris

These early spring days are glorious.
It's sort of fluffy babbling brook

and waving willow that is chartreus

And onto 1975!

Cool lamp. It really is amazing what people can see with a heap of junk!

I often take this view, as it is when I get my newspaper
off the drive and if I'm lucky the morning sun is there. Like on this occasion.

and that morning sun was telling us a good day was
coming and it sure did. The crocus were blooming

Stripey petals and leaves

Fuzzy Maple

and the bucket of spring!!! Gathering maple syrup in the city

If seemed that all the colour was crocus colour

But these are a favorite and in the sunshine
they showed all those tiny shades of colour

Wow, it's a whole crop

The snow drops were also doing their thing

and they really are prefect

Yellow aconite just being bright, a yellow carpet

even in the rain they are lovely

BOSTON

Reflecting towers

Gaveyards in the city and this old church was a suprise

And here is the famous harbour!
They had tourists throwing tea boxes off the boat,
but these tea boxes had string attached for retrieval!
Oh and lots of shouting about the British

Wonderful cheery sights in the city,
this little heart caught my eye

Round is a theme here. What a great building

The building on the left seemed to be like a mirage

And even more at the end of the street. Misty night in the city

Roofs and little buildings

Steaming kettle at the Starbucks coffee shop

The sweep of these buildings caught my eye

and this dapper sculpture. Mayor Kevin White

I loved this dome, great on the outside but spectacular inside

and an old fire pole. They have lots of these over the river in Cambridge too.
All those close packed wood houses! Fire was a real terror

Quite the striking mural for the aquarium

big flag! Actually this was ginormous

Lobster weather vane

Down at the harbour in Boston

Moody streets

This is where we stayed and it was lovely inside

Inside courtyard and no rain here just shiny floor

Boston was a lovely surprise with art in the city and the most fabulous buildings.

Happy Happy Spring!
