Summer time

As they say, long time no squeak! Here are the best bits from the last two months. Now we are into summer the flowers and greenery is amazing.

All the blossom has been amazing this year and the magnolias were no exception

we of course had rain after and they made lawns with magnolia décor

Sometimes I think she actually knows that I am taking a picture! Talk about pose

Every time I look at this tree on one of our neighbors properties, I think about the dear friend that was working on my house and suggested that this tree needed cutting down. For years the cherry tree looked sad, this year it was amazing! Clearly wet and warm spring suited it

and the dandelion carpets abounded in spring

stripy tulips

whenever we see a vintage car here they are pristine, a real mark of a long winter.
These are peoples winter projects
what else would you do on a dinning table! but lollop

We decided that a trip to the lake was in order and I saw these on Mother's Day. The bleeding heart is a favorite and reminds me of WC and the alley across the street that had these in the shady parts

No salt air but the with water you think of the possibility's of what's on the other side!

Shady walks

and fields of yellows

That would be another 'winter project'

The most alluring fragrance from this diminutive lily

This was the sight at the end of May wow. We have dandelion clocks all over the city

The irises this year were a weeks early in flowering and this back drop wall was perfect for these inky violet ones

Mirror image and the Grand River

Wild onion, but I suspect someone actually planted these

They are such a beautiful flower and so complex! They don't last that long but wow what a beauty

Misty morning in June and a path to somewhere

floating gold cloud in the dying light of the day

Mushrooms abound! and I loved this one in the dewy grass

Flowers by the lake

It is a wonder how we have beach at the lake!
The gentle lapping of the lake shore is very soothing and hard to imagine a rough day here. Although in winter this will freeze!

Sometimes the sky is just amazing as the light fades over the golf course and we look west

and if you have a box, just sit on it, if you can't fit in it!!!!
