June bug

So as we leave June and fall into July, we are officially having a heat wave in Canada. Yes you read that right, a heat wave. I know! if it's not one thing it's the other. But there are still things to see and the daily walks and little bit of life that is expanding means I've got more pictures than I could ever share. So I hope this selection of my June photos is a good diversion. (All these are taken on the mobile and some from a speeding car :)

I'm seeing a face, profile on, maybe a lion?

At the beginning of June the Irises were lovely. Like all bulb situations they don't last long but they are impressive

These 'keys' are such a vivid colour. I couldn't get them to focus, as they kept bobbling about !

After a build up of hot temperatures and humid weather it was thunder and lightening time.

Really impressive and I've never seen a storm present in this way. The layers of cloud so pronounced and the colours!

Really dynamic

Smokey and lightening.

Since moving to Canada I have to say 'well done' fir trees and all those spruce. They are amazing and watching their growing cycle is a real eye opener for me. They push out in summer the most vivid new growth. Really beautiful

and look at these cones. Fantastic

More shows of Irises

These all same colour ones are rather lovely

How about gold and purple, stunning

Wow new leaves and bright red, dazzlers

My iris is rather glorious

This would be the bunting for Isaac's birthday. up early to get these on the fence

and these round the back

I am the longest and the fairest in all of the land

Look I fit! (I had literally left this to turn around and in she went)
Ok tell me honestly, does my bum look big in this?

"Really Bella, just get a grip!" Archi definitely is being more dignified
Although he also likes to try the box out

Beautiful back yard blossoms

Lovely clematis flowers and this stayed joined like this till the bloom faded

Amazing what a bit of damp weather will bring

Last show guys, it's all or nothing

Lovely poppies

I love my box. Sweet bella....you are too big lovey. But what if I just have a paw just so, then I fit right?

Inky blue iris

Night time beckons

Now that's what I call a poppy

and these babies

I think that this looks like a phoenix in the sky...yes officially crazy I am seeing things, no comments please

I love peonies, showy but fun

and who doesn't like a bleedin heart

Gorgeous and a hint of rain droplets

ah sweet pea

Now that says it all

Black pansy?, they seem very decadent

The biggest and boldest dandelion head ever! That's like a supped up dandelion, gazillion seeds. I also thought that it was rather interesting that the seed storks made a diamond pattern, not dissimilar to the fence. Pretty cool

Nope, not falling. This is called liquid loungin

This is an amazing tree, the flowers that are a little hard to see are all over this 30 -40 ft tree

Like this, it is the Northern Catalpa Tree. Apparently it is native to the warm temperate and sub tropical regions of North America, righty ho that means its definitely not native to here then. But boy oh boy is this one doing well. Once I spotted this one I kept seeing them in the neighborhood. Never seen this tree before in my life

The drive by bunting for the Louie Graduation

Got to show a little Canadian spirit on Graduation

and here he is graduated and off to the office as a working man, later that day

I love! this picture. Bella is literally flying on the floor!

and at the lake

It really is lovely

Drift wood and pebbles

Just serene

But don't get too comfy, there is storm heading our way

We lingered

and we do love Huron

on the way home I spotted what I think is a rapeseed field. It was literally glowing

the sun sinking was quite spectacular

The clouds at the end of the road were glowing in the setting sun light

Pretty lights in the back yard

and beech nuts, it is amazing all the hard work plants are doing all around us
