May magnolia and snow *@!?

So I am feeling once again that I may well have 2 blogs for this month. This is what happens when you have nothing to do and basically you can watch leaves unfurl and think that is an exciting day. Although that said we have managed to have quite a lot of excitement in the last two weeks. What with snow and then lovely garden weather and then blah of overcast day today. So the promise is there, such a long drawn out beginning to Spring but I'll be outside in a flash once that sun pops it's head out again.

If I close my eyes you can't see me! This is Bella at the kitchen counter, this is pre over the top stage. Looks all serene and then you turn your back and she's on the counter stalking for imaginary food

But this is what we're talking about, buds on trees

Maples are the best and they push out these green flowers and the whole tree will have this green hue. Lovely

Star Magnolia out and glorious

More budding

Fabulous flower

I think that this is some kind of bulb but of course no idea what

These grow wild all over the place

Isaac and I pass this house often and yes it looks weird. But we sort of like it. On the other side of the roof it has some windows. We have decided that it is an energy efficient house. That or a garage. But it is interesting and we always do hard gorping when passing

More painted stones. Think that this is a thing

I am so pleased I was so on the hunt for magnolias and that I took this one close up

Such a show and it lasted briefly

Violets. They are just perfect

OOH sky

This was a fab sunset

This was all ready to go

This is a sweet house around the corner and it has a horse chestnut outside it and I was waiting for the leaves to show...not ready yet

I have noticed this recently. Quite super

Yellow wild violets

The tulips have arrived

Sunset and maples

They are so flouncy in a small way

Lovely pink clouds

That's the end of the day then

Almost ready for posting

It is so exciting to see all the different leaf colours

It really is lovely and the colours are so bright and it is the chestnut and already just 2 days and the leaves are pushing along

Fuzzy maple

Now you can really see the leaves in miniature

It is amazing that this is the structure, so complicated. But you could just watch them growing!

Lovely magnolia

Lamp post in disguise

Willow greening

Think this is the favorite combo, maple flowers and the red case. They are everywhere here

We have been blessed with blue sky and the buds on this are beautiful. Hard to see, but you do have red, white and blue. Think this is a birch tree

twilight tulips

Moon rising

and great traffic lights

I know you're lookin at me. I won't dignify looking back

So this is the make of a hydrant?

Darling? really

Still got great spidery trees going on

Primroses, are super sweet and remind me of the Isle of Man, really nice to see them here

Radiant tulips

This Forsythia was a real show

and this magnolia

I liked the old fruit and the new leaves, they sort of glow with newness

We have lots of little libraries in the neighborhood. Most people have closed them recently, so I was surprised to see this still open

That is splendid flowers and fuzz going on

Sort of catkins

Hello daffs, bright orange there

and white ones? who knew

This is very very fancy daffodil

dusk again and the street is quiet

some mad washing going on here

Another kind of tulip

Honestly glad this flowered when it did

Nice yellow and blue

The horse chestnut is getting ready

the leaves as big as your face when they are done

adorable

One sleeping (Bella) and (Archi) one not quite

was tremendously excited at finding cherry blossom. Only one tree so far in the streets around that I spied. Might of had a little happy dance in the street, just sayin

Funny flat petaled tulip

I recon that's blossom

The leaves are like hands

wow, now that is a show of cherry blossom

mad primroses

Everything is greening

Feeling springy

More blossom

and the tiniest pine cones and they are red!

what is that!!!! Yes it was snow and we thought we had got off lightly

Isaac won't pull the face

But yes it is now white

Tulips lie down

agh

and yes that's the noise that goes with this picture

All day it came in, in wave after wave and squally

It was amazing, you couldn't see the top of the road

Then evening and calm and it has all gone

Spoke to flipping soon

back and more this time

It was amazing

These tulips are doing a grand job

it does feel, like winter
It was so weird and just when the buds are coming

ah poor maple

Sturdy tulips are still there

white out over the gardens

But by evening it was gone !!!!

Rather like a fever dream

Tulips a bit raged about the edges

But you wouldn't know anything had occurred

I fully appreciate tulips and so pleased they made it through the snow

Louie and I saw this on an electric box, sort of graffiti cartoon sticker situation. Does this mean the lights will be switched off?

Time to hang in the cocoon and hope the snow doesn't come back (we hung this yesterday. Lots and lots of fun)

This is service berry tree and I think it so lovely. This one had flowers and berries all year. The leaves also change colour and so it is a favorite. I've never really looked at it so closely. Even in the beginning of leaving it is very pretty

For now that's it.......
