What are you to do, the summer is coming to a close and so you remember that on your door step is the most amazing world...Longwood Gardens. I know over the years you have had to endure many pictures and this is another one of those occasions. I love Longwood and every time I go it is different and the flowers are beautiful... so again dear readers an ode to Longwood
This is fountain display that they have been working on for two years now open....and wow they have done a fabulous job. We went early evening and although my night time shots didn't work...
I did get this sweet shot of Louie.
We had to go back on another day and see everything else
wowee those fountains in the day time are pretty spectacular
They even have a grotto
Their entrance is lovely
and so off we trudged, Lucy, Louie and I
These were the lilies I had to see
Bees were busy
And these two were too
Look at that, I have literally never seen a flower like it
berries, purple, crimson and just so colour saturated

The planted gardens are just breathtaking

The colour of these irises just stopped me in my tracks

ah the fountain in the main greenhouse, endlessly fasinating
and on to the fantastic water lilies, we really picked a great time to visit
they were at their bestest

Have I mentioned the fountains yet. Truly it might be time to lie down. The place is just so spectacular and lovely to get to visit at the right time of the planting. Hope you enjoyed seeing the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them
