Well I think I am safe in saying that Fall has arrived. Our colours have begun but they are a bit patchy. I've tried to capture some of the variation in the leaves and hope it gives a flavour. I know it is the height of boredom to talk weather but we are having some really weird weather. At the beginning of the month it was super hot and then today we woke to a really heavy frost! so that has played some tricks on the leaves I'm sure. But the photos have been piling up and with Halloween around the corner thought that I better upload them. It is nothing spectacular but having skimmed through them there are some interesting things that I decided to photo!
This is actually a really old photo from a few months back....but thought that maybe I should have this on here. It was a hot day and this hawk decided to rest on the little wooden house in the garden. Obviously He was looking at lunch!
It is almost as if he was posing for moi!
These are the Robins that we were sure would die who decided to nest on my ceiling fan on the porch. They survived and we expect offspring back for next year!
I know it's a brick wall....but it was the shadow I wanted to take the photo of. It was a bright blue morning and the shadow was majorly crisp.
Founders Day
This is was founders day at the school and as you can see Mr Fozard is playing the annual soccor game. The people sat with me on the bleachers were really funny. They thought that Mr F was a professional and obviously played for a team somewhere else......yeah that's right! I just said I didn't know who he was...as yet again he went in to tackle a student!
Running running boy aka Louie! I actually think he has both feet off the pitch at the same time. Is that humanly possible?
I love this photo it is taken from quite a distance, so not as sharp as we would like...but it is just perfect and actually needs no commentary..
Both Fozards on the pitch!
These are a few autumnal shots I got...love the lane to somewhere look
Now this a tricky one. It is a stand of trees by a pond and the top of the picture is the canopy of trees that almost obscures the red barn. But that pond reflects it wonderfully at the bottom of the picture and I love the tyre swing ...
I'm currently enjoying this as my phone background. Yup liked it that much. It is just a great picture.
This is a lovely bank of trees just turning colour
This is some ivy that has turned colour and looked like a flaming dress on the sparse tree.
So many berries about
This tree I always have my eye on. I have only got part of the glorious colour that this normally goes. But as it meant me standing in the middle of the intersection to get this shot, I may not capture it again! But they have cut the tree around the wires.....and normally it looks like it is a flaming tree in a curious L shape..
On a dull morning these were bright orange
fantastic fungi
This is my super duper arty shot of a tree root along the edge of a pavement
This is the sight that greeted me and Isaac as we left horse riding one night. I had to be super fast to get this as the combine nosily speed through the field across the road and entrance/exit to barn. It was also going to dark. All very exciting and action packed..
Isaac on his favorite horse doing a cool down circuit. This is what we had been doing. Well Isaac had been doing I was trying to ignore various barn animals that followed me to the outdoor paddock.
I even managed to get the boys outside this weekend! and play. I know alien concept...think they managed all of 15 minutes but it was great fun while it lasted.
We have had our porches all painted and I am loving the look,
The best....Dad home!
I thought that I would put this in there. These are American phone boxes and of course it is the shadows and shapes that caught my attention.
Our early morning frost this morning....
Just spectacular, I hope you have enjoyed this little selection. I'm sure that as Halloween gets closer there will be fun things for me to snap. Love to you all Mx
